Andy Serros

Andy was very active in many civic organizations and a leader in the community. He was chairman of the fundraising drive to build Mercy Hospital, helped establish Valencia Community College, and was instrumental in the creation of Orlando Remembered. He was active in the Orlando Kiwanis Club, Phi Delta Theta Alumni Association, Orlando Jaycees, Orlando High School Reunions, Omega Xi Fraternity, Gator Boosters, St. James Church Parish Council, the Catholic Diocese of Orlando, the University Club of Orlando, and formed the Ol’ Timers Club for Orlandoans who have been residents for 65 years. Andy was a lifelong resident of Orlando – his parents owned and operated Serros Fish & Poultry in the 1920s. They arrived in America from Athens, Greece and Naples, Italy. Serros died in 2007 at the age of 85.

Texann Ivy Buck

Gallerist, Curator, and Orange County Art Legend, Texann Ivy Buck was a force in Orlando Remembered from its inception in 1981. She was born in New York on November 3, 1947, and was married to Robert M. Buck for 44 years. She passed away on 2021 leaving a rich cultural legacy that made Orlando a more colorful and vibrant community. Texann was a pillar of the art community and maintained an art gallery, Texann Ivy Fine Arts and Art Appraisers and Consultants in downtown Orlando for many years. She was a member of the Appraisers Association of America and she supported the Orlando Museum of Art and the Cornell Museum of Art at Rollins College. Texann was a member of many volunteer organizations including the Pine Castle Historical Society; the Central Florida Genealogical Society; the Orlando Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; and United Daughters of the Confederacy.
