Dann was born in the British Bay Islands of Honduras and raised in Orlando. He graduated from Edgewater High School and then served in the United States Army, HQ Material Command Europe, Zweibrucken, Germany. He worked in the banking and real estate industry his entire career. He served as President of Orlando Rotary Club and the Historical Society of Central Florida and spent many years serving on different boards in Orlando. He loved the history and people of Old Orlando. He passed away in 2023.
